Pearl P. "Tammy" Friend
Pearl P. “Tammy” Friend, 49, of Sutton accepted the Lords offer of eternal peace and divine love, and ceased her short battle with breast cancer. Following a flawed test and diagnosis, Tammy’s breast cancer was not diagnosed until Dec. 2009. By that time the cancer was an advanced stage 4 and had metastasized. Though her fight was much too short- she fought back bravely. Tammy walked in the relay for life and a luminary will be lit in her memory. In the end she left this world peacefully with her husband and children by her side. Tammy was well known and loved by all who met her. For several years she worked at McDonald’s as the morning drive-thru server. She always had a smile and was quick to share a laugh.
